  • OT

    Neu Kids provides Occupational Therapy services to children 2-13 years. We are family centred and encourage family and carers to be present and engaged in sessions, so you can practice what we teach.

    Occupational therapy looks at a child’s day to day life to address and support any areas they may be having difficulties with, this can include but is not limited to:

    -Play skills

    -Attention

    -Challenging behaviours

    -Sensory processing

    -Fine motor skills (including handwriting)

    -Gross motor skills

    -Self-Care skills

  • Key Worker

    A Key Worker is a professional who works with a family as a primary point of contact and support. The key worker's role is to coordinate and facilitate the child's access to NDIS services and supports, and to assist the child and their family in achieving their goals and outcomes.

    Specifically, the key worker's role may include:

    -Developing a plan (Goals, needs, required supports)

    -Coordinating services

    -Advocating for the child

    -Monitoring progress

    -Providing support

  • Tutoring

    Whether you have found that the education system is not working for your child, or you would like to develop your child’s academic skills further, at Neu Kids, we provide tutoring designed to help your neurodiverse child to achieve their academic goals. As a teacher, it's important to have an understanding of both the needs associated with the divergence and the unique needs of the child you are working with.

    To create an optimum learning environment, we implement strategies to our learning spaces such as:

    -Individualized attention

    -Adapted teaching methods to suit the child's learning style.

    -Building confidence

    -Developing specific skills, such as reading, writing, or math. They can also work on social skills or other areas where the child may need additional support.

    -Support for parents

  • Groups

    Out groups focus on developing children’s social engagement and specific skill development. our groups are designed to encourage thinking, playing and learning together. these interactions assist with social skills, group work emotional regulation, movement, play and coping skills.

    Groups allow us to identify key areas of challenge and strength in a social setting that we may not otherwise have an opportunity to observe.

    Groups we currently offer include:

    -Lego legends

    -Transition to Prep

    -Play group

    -STEM group

    -Thriving in the classroom group

  • Intensive Goal Focused Programs

    Our intensive programs are short-term, tailored programs, focussing on 1 specific goal area.

    Intensive programs provide a greater support with learning a new skills during times of readiness for change. Evidence demonstrated that skills improve when they are practiced intensely at the right level of challenge.
